Companion Congregation

Through the Northern Great Lakes Synod companion synod ministry, First Lutheran has developed a relationship with a companion congregation in Tanzania.

Kijichi Lutheran Church is a vibrant, growing community of faith in the suburbs of Dar es Salaam. We have held Kijichi in our prayers and have sought to share with them in supporting their ministry in one of the poorest countries in the world.
